What is a twistitle?

A twistitle is a special combination of a picture and a title, in which the title twists the meaning of the picture in a funny, clever, inspiring, surprising or emotional way. Twistitle is indeed the picture's perfect punchline. Or punch line (depending on the way you spell it).

Who creates twistitles?

Anybody can create a twistitle. It is easy and takes seconds, except for the ingenious or agonizing thought process of arriving at the picture's perfect punchline. Once you have it it is easy as ABC with the "create!" tab. Start creating your own twistitles to share them with the world today. Can you make it to the gallery?

What is gallery?

It is the main exhibition of best twistitles selected to be accepted every day by the Administrator. In general, the Administrator looks favorable at twistitle candidates with best rating by our community. Therefore a large number of positive votes can help your twistitle make it to the gallery. But the ultimate decision is the Administrator's. The selection are usually made every day.

What is waiting?

Waiting is the waiting area for twistitle candidates before Administrator's selection. It is full of raw inputs, as submitted by twistitle community members. You can vote on them to help them get to the main gallery.

What is random?

Here you can find one random twistitle from the main gallery. Press refresh to get a new one. Again and again and again and again.

What is create!?

It is the place you can create your own twistitle. A simple form lets you upload a picture and its title (large font) and/or subtitle (small font). The picture and the title are mandatory for twistitles. Add tags to make it simpler for others to search for your artwork. If you need to make references, use the Source field.

What is rankings?

Here you can find the best twistitles from the main gallery. It is the votes of the twistitle community, not the Administrator who decides about the order of the pictures here. However, the artwork needs to be accepted to the gallery (i.e. not be in the waiting area or rejected) to be part of the ranking.

What are the important rules?

Make sure you have the rights to use the picture you are uploading. Please also ensure your artwork is not violating any other regulations. In particular we strongly discourage obscenity, vulgarity, spam, nudity and drastic content. Be respectful to others. Yes, users will get banned for violations. Yes, some bans are permanent. Please also read our terms of use.

Are your rights being violated?

Please let us know in writing here. In general we are able to remove twistitles of users within 72 hours. Of course, we often react much faster.
